I'm thinking the rifle in question used whatever the SEAL's M16A1 had, but I can't find any old products that match it.Lot consist of: (A) Olympic Arms "M.F.R." semi automatic rifle with scope. You can see that with the 3k mounted roughly where the top photo had the 3k, the mount is still longer. Granted his 3k is mounted further back, but the length of the rail seems to match the length of the 3k, and it seems to have slots that run up to the end of the rail: To further muddy the issue, I found this photo of a SEAL with a silver AP 3k mounted on an M16A1. Problem is, the length and slot spacing don't seem to match up to the photo I am referencing, and based on where the AP 3k seems to be mounted. This photo was posted over on TOS a good while back, and after a small run of early OPS Inc style collars and barrels were run to replicate the early 90s setups, I decided I just had to build it:Īt first I had the Olympic Arms mount nailed as being the one due to length and some validation from Oly that they did sell 75th Rangers a bunch of mounts in the early 90s. I'm trying to build an early/mid 90s RRD Colt 727 and am hung up on the carry handle mount for the Aimpoint 3000. I did see similar rifles/uppers in various Gothic Serpent galleries but none showing the exact combo here.

I wanted to split this off the BHD thread in order to focus on the mount, and also since this may be a post TF Ranger build anyways.
